Qualitative analysis of organic salts.

Determination of functional groups like –COOH, -NO2,-NH2, -SO3H, -OH group in various drug samples.

Identification of simple organic compounds such as Benzoic acid, Salicylic acid, Aspirin, PABA, PASA etc.

Synthesis of simple compounds using name reactions such as Baeyer-Villiger, Birch reduction, Clemmensen reduction, Friedel-Crafts, Gabriel synthesis etc.

Medicinal Chemistry

Synthesis and characterization of different compounds of medicinal importance:
